Brain Dressler
Head Varsity Coach

Brian DresslerBrain Dressler became the Head Varsity Coach of the Ironmen in July 2009. He is the fourth head coach in the history of the program, which was established in 1983. Coach Dressler previously started with the Ironmen in 1998 as the goalkeeping coach. He was named Junior Varsity Coach in 1999 and had held that same position before being appointed Head Coach.

As an assistant, Coach Dressler was part of the Ironmen's PIAA District IV "AA" championships in 2000 and 2001 with then Head Coach Nick Kindt and in 2003 with then Head Coach Chris Johns. He was also on the sideline for three consecutive overall Susquehanna Valley League (SVL) titles in 1999, 2000 and 2001 and the program's 200th and 300th overall wins in September 1998 and October 2004, respectively.

As a player for Danville, Coach Dressler was a member of the 1995 SVL divisional and 1996 SVL overall championship teams. He served as a team captain on the 1996 squad. Coach Dressler holds a NSCAA Level I Goalkeeping Certificate and has served as the 7th grade boys basketball coach in the Danville school district.

Chris Johns
Chris Johns previously served as the Head Varsity Coach from 2003 through 2009 in addition to being a volunteer assistant during the 1998 and 1999 seasons. He guided the team to a 17-7 overall record during his first season in 2003, which included a PIAA District IV "AA" championship, before bowing out in the first round of the PIAA "AA" state tournament. During Coach Johns' second season, the Ironmen earned the program's 300th overall victory and 15th straight District IV "AA" playoff appearance. In 2006 & 2007, he was named the Susquehanna Valley League's (SVL) "AA" Coach of the Year. His overall record as Head Coach was 68-48-9.

A 1994 graduate of Danville Area High School, Coach Johns was a member of the 1991 PIAA District IV "AA" championship and 1992 PIAA District IV "AA" runner-up teams, and served as a captain for the 1993 squad. He then went on to play for Skip Roderick at Elizabethtown College (PA) from 1994-97, where he was part of an MAC championship (1996) and two NCAA Division III National Tournament qualifying teams (1995, 1996).

Coach Johns holds an NSCAA Advanced National Coaching Diploma and Level I Goalkeeping Certificate. He is the Director/Founder of Silverlake Soccer Camp as well as a member of the Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association. Coach Johns is an administrator in the Danville Area School District.
